The new name reflects what the company has always been: hands-on engineering partners who build the technology themselves, across the full range of medical technology innovation—not just medical devices and not just advice.
CONNECTICUT, June 22, 2026. C3 Medical Device Consulting, the engineering firm behind more than 15 years of medical technology products, today announced its rebrand to C3 MedTech Innovations. The new name and identity, now live at c3medtechinnovations.com, correct a long-standing misperception about what the company actually does. C3 is not a consultancy that advises from the sidelines. It is a team of hands-on engineering partners who design, build, test, and support the technology itself.
The rebrand carries forward the same founder, team, and engineering DNA that clients have relied on since 2009. What changes is how clearly the name describes the work: real engineering partnership, applied across the full landscape of medical technology innovation rather than medical devices alone.
Engineering partners, not just consultants
The word “consulting” never captured how C3 works. Consultants hand over recommendations and walk away. C3’s engineers sit inside the build, taking real ownership of electronics, firmware, cloud, IoT, mobile, and AI-enabled systems, and staying accountable for the outcome.
That partnership runs across the full engineering lifecycle: build and develop, where most of the work happens; test and validate, with full verification and validation and regulatory-ready documentation; clinical readiness, preparing teams for FDA engagement; and ongoing support and maintenance after launch. Clients get senior engineers who do the work, not a report that tells them how.
Today the team engineers across the wider world of medical technology innovation, including connected devices, digital health platforms, IoT and cloud systems, AI-enabled diagnostics, and the software and firmware that ties it all together. The name change follows the work.
This approach is grounded in the company’s three core values—Care, Collaboration, and Confidence. Care means treating every client’s product as if it were their own. Collaboration means Craig Carder and the team work directly alongside clients at every stage, not from the sidelines. Confidence means delivering work that clients can stand behind, from proof of concept through regulatory approval.
Three ways to partner
Alongside the new identity, C3 MedTech Innovations offers three engagement paths matched to a team’s stage:
Catalyst Program. A low-cost option for self-funded and under-funded founders to build a real proof of concept on an affordable monthly budget, with something tangible to show investors and a clear fundraising plan.
Project-Based Partnership. For funded startups or established companies ready to build, with a clearly defined scope, milestone-based pricing, and a predictable path to the next development phase.
Ongoing Partnership. For established companies or funded startups that need consistent development support and predictable monthly costs across production and long-term product evolution.
“People heard ‘consulting’ and pictured a slide deck and an invoice. That was never us. We roll up our sleeves and build the technology ourselves, and we do it across all of medical technology, not just medical devices. The new name finally says out loud what our clients have known for years: we are their engineering partner, and we own the outcome with them.”
— Craig Carder, Founder & CEO, C3 MedTech Innovations
What stays the same
Existing clients and partners will see the same team and the same standards behind the new name. The company’s blog and resources are moving to the new site, and current engagements continue uninterrupted. Teams exploring where to start can take a short quiz to find the right engagement or book a call directly with the founder.
Craig Carder also continues to give back through his active mentorship program, working directly with aspiring medtech founders and early-stage startups. Through C3 MedTech Innovations, teams have access to resources for navigating accelerators, securing early funding, and building a path to market—whether they are just getting started or preparing for their next stage of growth.
